Veon Ecology conducts ecological Bridge Survey for Kenmare Flood Relief Scheme

Veon ecologists conducted an ecological Bridge Survey for a Flood Relief Scheme the council is planning to carry out in Kenmare, County Kerry.

The ecological bridge survey assesses the ecological value and evaluates the effectiveness and impact of the bridges for local wildlife.

The purpose of this ecological bridge survey is to gather data on how well these structures are functioning in facilitating the movement of wildlife, maintaining genetic diversity, and supporting overall ecological connectivity. The survey may include various components such as wildlife monitoring, vegetation and habitat assessment.

The goal of such surveys is to inform conservation efforts, improve the design of wildlife crossings, and enhance their effectiveness in preserving biodiversity and preventing negative impacts on wildlife populations.
