Seasonal Surveys at Veon Ecology

Why you should book your Survey

Booking your ecology survey early is critical to avoid project delays, as many surveys are seasonally constrained and consultants often book up quickly.

A Preliminary Ecological Appraisal (PEA) should be the first step in planning to identify potential issues, with surveys often required for planning permission if a project could impact biodiversity.

Many protected species surveys can only be conducted at specific times of the year (e.g., bat surveys, bird breeding, and wintering bird surveys). Early booking prevents costly project setbacks and ensures compliance with local and EU environmental regulations.

While surveys can be valid for 18–24 months, some local authorities may require them to be completed within the last 12 months.
