Donnachadh Powell is Lead Ecologist with Veon Ecology, the ecology and environmental services division of Veon Ltd. Since he obtained his degree in Ecology and Environmental Biology in UCC, he has been involved in a range of environmental projects across several industries. He has experience working on nationally important infrastructure projects including solar farms, wind farms, transport and road networks projects, forestry and flood relief schemes. He also has experience in conservation and restoration projects in both volunteering and professional settings such as NPWS Farm Plans, All Ireland Pollinator Plans, invasive species removal and habitat restoration. He has overseen various projects as Ecological Clerk of Works and has carried out extensive terrestrial and aquatic ecology fieldwork. Donnachadh has a comprehensive understanding of environmental law and an in-depth knowledge of various ecosystems found throughout Ireland and the protected and sensitive species which inhabit them.
