Congratulations to Slane Castle Estate for receiving the special commendation award in the RDS Irish Forest & Woodland Awards 2024. Working together with their forest managers, Veon Limited, the award was achieved in the Native Woodland Conservation category and was announced on 2nd May 2024.
This Special Commendation is as a result of the Estate’s vision for what they wanted to achieve in their woodlands combined with the dedication from Veon’s forestry and ecology divisions. Brown-Forman the renowned distillers of Slane Whiskey played an important supporting role through their direct support and active encouragement of this special conservation and biodiversity project.
