Veon ecologists surveying bats on the River Brosna last night.

The clicking is a bat detector which picks up the sounds bats use for echolocation. Different bat species use different frequencies. The Daubertons bats being surveyed fly low parallel to the water and the clicks are 35hz while Pipistrelle bats fly higher in loops and the clicks register around 50-60hz.
