Veon provides services in Forestry, Ecology and Arboriculture and is certified under PEFC for much of the forest portfolio it manages.
Veon is looking to recruit a Technical Support Forester who is interested in developing their skillsets across a diverse range of fields in Forestry, Ecology and Arboriculture.
The successful candidate will deliver an exceptional technical forestry service to the Operations Manager and all company stakeholders and will liaise with the Department of Agriculture & Food in relation to licencing applications.

Requirements
- Batchelors level qualification in Forestry or similar would be preferred with a strong level of knowledge and understanding of Forest Service/Forestry requirements and standards.
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Highly proficient in IT including previous CRM database usage with good numerical ability.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Capable of working on own initiative and confident in multi-tasking.
- Enjoy working as part of a busy team.
- 2 years previous experience in similar role would be preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Forestry Team in the preparation of licence applications.
- Liaising with the Forestry Team for preparation of draft licence documentation including plans, maps, and application forms.
- Carry out a comprehensive review of prepared documentation along with digitisation of maps.
- Submission of completed applications along with supporting documents.
- Updating internal CRM system, VALMS, with the details of the submission including uploading of application documents.
- Liaising with Forestry Team and Forest Service on any additional information required until licence application is approved.
- Weekly reporting to Operations Manager on submission progress.
- Regularly communicating with the Forest Service on all aspects of forestry including release of funding, approvals, status of applications and payments.
- Updating of VALMS system with information at every stage of the application process from start to finish, including grant payments.
- Compiling folio and title documents to accompany the grant applications when required.
- Ensuring all documentation is in place from all stakeholders.
- Tracking applications and producing weekly report.
- Providing assistance and information to Forestry, Ecology and Arboriculture team members.
- Ensure accurate completion of all grant licencing applications and their timely submission to the Forest Service.
