Veon is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Arboriculturist to join our growing team located throughout Ireland. The successful candidate must demonstrate a knowledge of arboriculture and have experience in this important sector.
The role will primarily involve leading a newly established arboriculture division within Veon. This includes recruitment of new arboriculture business, oversight and delivery of such projects to the high standards expected by clients and working with senior management for the continued development of this new division within Veon. A proven ability to safely deliver high quality work to tight deadlines is essential.
As this is a new division with Veon, there is significant potential for career development.
The role is directly responsible to the Managing Director – Commercial.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Arboriculturist Role:
- Managing and developing arboriculture services within Veon.
- Provide advice and guidance to Veon’s existing and future clients along with the wider Veon team on arboriculture issues as they arise.
- Work to the highest professional and safety standards and develop policies and procedures within Veon Arboriculture that ensure the safety and welfare of its personnel in their delivery of professional services to clients.
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation and guidance.
- Manage a large workload efficiently.
- Manage time and project delivery in an organised and proactive manner.
- Input into company policies relating to the protection and enhancement of Veon’s arboriculture services offered to clients
Requirements of Senior Arboriculturist Role
- Relevant Arboriculture qualifications (Level 6 or above) or related discipline is essential.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies is desirable.
- Proven leadership ability
- Ability to manage projects to tight deadlines
- Experience of developing new business opportunities
- High awareness of health & safety requirements
- Excellent computer skills particularly MS Office is essential and previous experience in GIS including ArcGIS and QGIS is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Full clean driving licence is essential together with a willingness to travel throughout Ireland.
- Capable of both working well alone and as part of the team when required
