A very interesting tulip tree (Liriodendron tulipifera) in our recent Tree Condition Assessment. This is a large relatively fast growing long lived tree to 30 – 35 m related to Magnolia. Although extensively decayed, this tree has layed down a lot of support wood in response to the decay. Conservation is the name of the game, so Veon Arboriculturalists have recommended a 2m height reduction to reduce pressure on the trunk whilst maintaining this tree in all its glory.
